COVINGT0N - Cleo V. "Toe" Cunningham, 78, of 312 Fifth St., Covington, died Saturday in Covington Manor Nursing Home. He had been in failing health the past year and in the nursing home the past month. Cunningham was employed as a switchman for the Penn Central Railroad. He retired in 1966 after 23 years with the railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, Fountain Masonic Lodge 60 of Covington and Benson Chapel United Methodist Church. He was born May l, 1900, in Warren County, a son of James and Iva Mae (Green) Cunningham. He was married to Marguerite Goulding, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Kenneth E. Cunningham of Covington; two brothers, Robert of Covington and Mac of Danville, Ill.; three sisters, Miss Ailene Cunningham, Mrs. Leota Keller and Mrs. Neva Davis, all of Covington; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, a grandchild, two sisters and a brother. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in DeVerter Funeral Home at Covington. The Rev. Robert H. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery at Danville, Ill. Friends may call between 7 and 9 tonight in the funeral home. Masonic services will be at 8 tonight. - jlr
